Received an e-mail from Nick with the names and captions of fellow hikers.  I update the pictures below.  The captions sound just like a newspaper reporter, go figure.

Updated by John Tomecek 06/11/2004 09:29pm

Nick called and asked that I put some of the pictures of other hikers that they have met, so they can share the website with their friends and family.  I do not have there names so I identified them with a number until Nick can send me their names.

An E-mail from Dan Frew, a friend of Vince's;

All,

            On Sunday, I had the honor of taking Vince Tomecek of Lexington Duty Manager fame, and his brother Nick to the head of the Appalachian trail where they began their 2,000 mile journey to Maine.  They were very excited and as prepared as anyone I had seen on the A.T. and I've seen a few.  I wanted to share these pictures with you along with my pride in knowing these guys and being able to help them at the start of their journey.
